Peaches enjoys rough and tumble play and a game of chase when it comes to interacting with other dogs, however she can display some resource guarding in the home and does not like sharing her space. She has proved however to be quite the escape artist, so we will only consider applicants with a secure garden. She sits when asked and her recall is improving every day. Peaches has wonderful manners on the lead and so far, has shown great training potential. She would make a fantastic walking friend and adventure companion! She runs with exceptional speed and such delight! Her positive energy and joy for life can be felt by those who are watching her. Peaches has boundless energy, she loves to run, play, dig and roll in the mud. Management of her interactions with strangers thereafter will be required. Because of the regression caused by Peaches’ environmental change, introductions with a prospective family will need to be ongoing, until she is comfortable enough to trust. However, Peaches remains scared of people she does not know. Now, fostered by our Founder, Nikki, Peaches’ personality is shining through again and we are slowly seeing the happy, energetic soul she once was.

Some incidences led Peaches to bite – prospective adopters should be aware of this. Frightened by everything, Peaches became reactive to people she did not know but would also cower from them too, especially when someone entered her space. When Peaches’ world changed, she became unsure of her surroundings and those who cared for her – We were heartbroken to see Peaches in such distress.

A peaceful household would suit her best, with someone who can offer her a lifetime of consistency, training and the love she deserves. Peaches needs an adult-only home, as she is extremely timid and can be reactive around new people. Sadly, the family moved and couldn’t take Peaches with them, so our Founder, Nikki stepped in to offer Peaches a place of sanctuary whilst we look for what she truly deservers – a forever home with a committed family to call her own…. At just 6 months old, Peaches flew to the UK where she found what was thought to be her forever home. Precious Peaches came into our care when she was rescued from the streets of Bahrain. We are currently carrying out Peaches’ assessment and therefore the information provided may change. Please note – Wild At Heart Foundation carry out behaviour assessments on all of our dogs being rehomed.
